Kalpavasi Poojan is a unique and revered Hindu ritual performed during the Kumbh Mela. Devotees, known as Kalpavasis, live a simple and austere life on the banks of the holy river for a specific period, usually one month. They engage in daily prayers, meditation, Satsang (spiritual discourses), and various poojas dedicated to different deities.
This period of penance and reflection aims to purify the soul, deepen spiritual understanding, and seek divine blessings. The ritual involves strict adherence to spiritual practices and rituals under the guidance of learned priests and spiritual leaders. Kalpavasi Poojan is an opportunity for devotees to break free from the cycle of rebirth and attain moksha (liberation).
