Black Panther: Wakanda Forever comes with a deafening silence you will never forget. A silence so deep you can hear anyone in the theatre of 200 people slurping on soda or chewing popcorn. It’s meant to make you uncomfortable, it’s confronting of the emotions of the makers, of each character, of Shuri – T’Challa’s sister. It also reminds you of everything Wakanda was, and what it will be. However, the film isn’t perfect, doesn’t give Shuri everything she deserved but we are not asking it to be. It’s enough to pull Marvel out of the hole it was burying itself under with a lot of projects that the audience doesn’t really care about.
